Hailing from Dakar, Senegal, Malibu Joe grew up surrounded by music, thanks to his uncle’s famous nightclub, Sunset Sahel, where legends like Youssou Ndour performed. Inspired by both African rhythms and the rise of American hip-hop, Joe became an MC and breakdancer, balancing his African roots with new sounds.

After record deals in Paris and LA, he found freedom as an independent artist and began collaborating with DJ Oggy seven years ago. Now with 1000Milan and WildStar, Joe is committed to making heartfelt music with an African signature.
